Shoes, glorious shoes

Irish designer Nicki Hoyne’s business is going skyward, and it’s easy to see why. Starting off with a collection of crossbody camera bags, then moving to shoes with her ever-popular tasselled flats, her latest collection of impeccably made heels features these gorgeous velvet bow beauties. Everything she makes is of the highest quality and the most considered design, too.

The dream selection box

While we’re not suggesting for a moment that you turn your nose up at a good ol’ Cadbury’s selection box (though they’ve gotten considerably smaller in recent years), we think Sculpted by Aimee’s complexion selection box is the ultimate beauty gift for someone who’s all about skin and perfecting it. You get to choose the shades that go in the box – genius – so that nothing is superfluous to requirement.

A hug

Not literally, although we hear hugs are free and so maybe give those out at will too? The Hug is a beautiful set of wellness goodies from Ground Wellbeing, and is a guaranteed gifting hit this year (and any year) containing an essential oil and body oil duo. Handmade in Cork, these products are the brainchild of Peigín Crowley, a spa designer and wellness advocate whose infectious joy and zest for life makes her brand impossible not to love.

A big bow

Yes, another one. First we want it on shoes, then we’d like one in our hair, please and thanks. Aoife Mullane‘s design nous has seen her gorgeous interiors pieces stocked in the likes of Brown Thomas, but now she’s also designing hair accessories and luxury nightwear too. All handmade in her studio, these pieces are little works of art.

The gift of relaxation

Bees of Honey launched in early 2020, and has a self-care package that includes their body butter, a candle, mood oil and sage stick.

The best smelling candles money can buy

D8 Design Co. produce 100% handmade candles created in Dublin, see www.d8designco.com for scents including Solstice, Ebenezer, and the best selling The West.

Statement pieces

Galway-based The Tweed Project create handmade one off pieces using Irish fabrics, including Donegal Tweed and Irish linen.

A pop of colour

A Little Idea are creators of vibrant laser cut jewellery. Their neon lightening bolts are a hit, or if you fancy some festive cheer try their sparkly Christmas trees. A sure way to deliver joy on Christmas morning.

Lifelong comfort

Pearl Reddington’s contemporary aran jumpers deliver a new spin on a classic. Her jumpers, cardigans and accessories will deliver lifelong comfort to the fashion lovers.
